Accessing accurate material data for sheet metal simulation can be difficult and time-consuming. Companies often rely on material databases that are decades old and likely don't match current material performance. Because of that, Simufact partnered with Tata Steel to provide high-quality material cards for stamping, including anisotropy and forming limit data.
In this webinar, we will cover:
- Quick intro to stamping simulation in Simufact Forming®
- Updates to Simufact Forming material library
- An introduction to high-quality data available from the Tata Steel Aurora Online Material database for Tata Steel customers
- Benefits of Vegter 2017 yield locus and Abspoel-Scholting Forming Limit Curves (FLC)
- Technical explanation behind the calculation of FLC and the Yield locus
- Case study comparing legacy versus modern anisotropy models
Eliminate the need for extensive in-house material testing, reduce delays and inconsistencies from manual data collection, and ensure reliable and consistent material input for simulations.
If you've been struggling with stamping simulation, be sure to join this webinar to learn the latest in material modeling for stamping simulation.
About your speakers

Nick is a Brazilian mechanical engineer with 9 years of experience in CAE. He got his master’s degree in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2024 and has been working professionally since then. Before coming to the US, Nick worked for 5 years at MSC Software, working with multiple CAE solutions in structural analysis, composites, fatigue, manufacturing, and others. In early 2026, Nick became the Simufact Forming product manager, with the goal of building the next-gen Resistance Spot Welcing (RSW) simulation workflow.

Michael is a mechanical engineer with 12 years of experience as a designer of stamped products, following with 20 years as a forming technology specialist in R&D at Tata Steel in the Netherlands. He is working for both the automotive and packaging steel business. His specialism in forming and crash simulation, test development and material characterization has led to the implementation of several easy-to-use advanced material models in FE software. Now with the implementation of these models in Simufact Forming he will explain more about the working principles and advantages of these models

Don't miss this opportunity to take the first step towards eliminating physical prototypes and ensuring that stamping simulations are highly accurate with advanced material data.
